Harry Po

Hi everyone! My name is Harry Po and I am running to be one of your year representatives for the 2023/2024 academic year. I know that there will be new challenges and opportunities that we’ll be facing throughout our journey together in the PharmD program but I am committed and passionate to help represent our class so that our concerns and needs are met.
When I first entered the PharmD program, I must admit, I had reservations. I thought it would be a daunting experience, and making friends might be a challenge, given our diverse backgrounds and ambitions. It’s true that the school environment can be chaotic at times, but I want you to know that I’ve found my own sense of belonging among friends and acquaintances. My goal is to foster a sense of community by organizing enjoyable events for all of us to connect and unwind.
I acknowledge that it’s impossible to meet everyone in our program/year due to our large numbers, but I’m genuinely looking forward to getting to know more of you. Let’s make this academic year one to remember by working together and making the most of our time in the PharmD program.
Thank you for considering me as your year representative. I am eager to serve you and our class to the best of my abilities. See you all soon!
Michelle Chau

Hello everyone! I’m Michelle, and I will be running for Year Rep!
In first year, I thought that I would finish my entire degree only worrying about passing tests. However, in the last two years, I have met so many wonderful people. Getting to know our talented and amazing class has inspired me to look forward to more than just finishing my degree.
My goal for this year is to organize more opportunities where students can have fun and be part of a welcoming community in pharmacy. As a Marketing Coordinator for PAM last year, I raised awareness of the Pharmacy profession to the public with my creativity, love for drawing cartoons, and organizational skills. This experience will aid me with generating ideas and
planning events for this coming year.
As a Year Rep, I will help host social events where students will be able to play games or do team activities allowing them to meet new people and strengthen friendships. I am also excited to represent our class on the PhUS Pipeline to push for changes that reflect the values of the students. Lastly, I strive to create opportunities in the hallways, and online where students can share and experience encouragement even if they are not able to attend the events.
I hope that we will be able to make the most out of our last two years in the Pharmacy program, and I am looking forward to building this warm community together!
