Hello! My name is Marcus Wong and I am running to be your PhUS VP Internal for the 2021/2022 academic year. As one of the PhUS First-Year Representatives for the Class of 2024, I have had the opportunity to serve the Pharmacy student body in the many different committees that helps PhUS run smoothly behind the scenes. This year I have served in the PhUS Student Pipeline Committee, Social Committee, Constitution Review Committee, Finance and Sponsorship Committee, and the Student Support Steering Committee to gain a better understanding of the inner workings of PhUS and the impact that great student leaders can have on improving student life.
I have a keen understanding of the roles and responsibilities required of PhUS VP Internal and I am well qualified for this position. My high attention to detail and organizational skills will be an asset to organizing and facilitating funding applications, name-tag and textbook pick-ups, and locker sign-ups. I am very excited to be hosting Clubs Night next year as one of my goals as VP Internal will be to encourage student engagement in Pharmacy Club events. This past pandemic-fueled year has been quite distinct from previous years and I am looking forward to next year when we might have in-person events again (with food).
