VP Finance Candidate, Yolanda Sun
Hello everyone, my name is Yolanda Sun, and I am excited to be running as a candidate for the VP of Finance for the 2024-2025 school year. You may recognize me as one of the Marketing Coordinators from GPA 2023, in which I was involved in designing the logos and stickers, editing promotional videos, and posting online updates to promote GPA. Additionally, this month I will be one of the Event Coordinators presenting on smoking cessation for PAM 2024 in the AMS Nest. Executing this project has involved a lot of organization, communication, and planning under a constrained budget, which has allowed me to gain an immense amount of experience collaborating with others and being punctual.
For the upcoming year, I want to prioritize student events, networking opportunities, and mental health initiatives while keeping student fees low. I acknowledge the financial hurdles that organizing events may present, so I will be dedicated to working with sponsorship, communication, and other committees to ensure the budget for each event meets the needs in the most cost-effective approach. Additionally, I will work towards ensuring that each reimbursement is done in a timely manner.
