Class of 2027 Graduation Representative Candidate, Payton Leonard
Hello everyone! My name is Payton Leonard and I am excited to be running for the Class of 2027 Doctor of Pharmacy Graduation Rep! Throughout these past 2 years we’ve supported each other through 41 exams (so far) and helped our peers through hands-on experiences that will shape us to be great future pharmacists. Although we may be only halfway through, graduation will be soon approaching and we will transition from seeing each other every day to becoming colleagues. As we reach graduation, I want to ensure this final milestone together is memorable, exciting, and celebrates our 4 years in pharmacy school. My most valuable experience that prepares me for this position is being a recruitment officer for LKS. Through information nights, clubs night, and socials, I made potential members feel included and had the highest application pool of all the previous LKS years. I continued this role throughout the past year planning initiation night, social events, sock wars as you may know, and facilitated collaboration through weekly meetings. Now why should you care and vote for me?! I plan on being your voice in planning events such as cake and champagne that brings us together and does not have a limit to -1 glass of wine per person (like gala). Most importantly organizing merch such as Patagonia fleeces or custom sweaters that will show off our hard work and show off into our careers!
