Hi there! My name is Aileen Li, and I’m a PY1 PharmD student running for the Class of 2030 Year Representative.
Entering pharmacy school has been a huge transition, making me realize the importance of a welcoming person who can cultivate a positive community where everyone feels heard and represented. I’d love to be that person for our cohort!
Naturally, I am a supportive, dependable, and proactive person who enjoys meeting new people, hearing different perspectives, and following through with ideas. Given my outgoing personality and interest in understanding others, the PY1 representative role especially stood out to me.
Additionally, I believe my experiences make me a strong candidate. Through working in a pharmacy, tutoring foreign students, participating in dance teams, and being involved in other club environments, I have developed strong communication, teamwork, organization, and efficient planning skills. Notably, after four years on a dance team, I’ve learned small creative touches that make an event more memorable. If elected, I would bring these skills and creativity to the PY1 role to help execute memorable initiatives and meaningful experiences that bring our cohort together.
Lastly, the enthusiasm of upper years and PHUS members during GPA and orientation inspired me to get involved and give others that same experience. If elected, I hope to bring my innovative, organized, and passionate self to help plan meaningful events and make our next year of pharmacy school one we’ll look back on fondly.
