My name is Daniel Sung, and I would like to be a representative for the PY1 for the 2026-2027 academic year. I am transferring from Vancouver Island University, so I am super excited to meet new people, take on projects and experience a new environment.
Previously, I had been involved in clubs such as VIU Eco Club and VIU Traditional Craft and Foodways Club, where I helped run events, organized meetings, and welcomed new members to the clubs.
As a PY1 representative, I will make sure that my peers’ voices are heard and represented. I will work hard to organize fun events when our schedule permits, and to streamline important information to make our first year easier. My focus will primarily be to find ways to assist students in studying whether that is through organizing study sessions, or handing out snacks and coffee during lecture breaks.
