Class of 2027 Graduation Representative Candidate, Ava Merrill
Hi everyone!
My name is Ava Merrill, and I’m thrilled to be running for Graduation Co-Chair! This role is all about leadership, organization, and making our final year unforgettable. As Co-Chair, I’ll help to take the lead on organizing events to fundraise for our grad class, advocating for our class on graduation-related matters at PhUS council meetings, and, of course, ensuring that our Cake and Champagne celebration is nothing short of amazing. While my leadership experience in pharmacy may be limited, my background in event planning, organization, and fundraising is extensive. As Lead Student Ambassador during my undergraduate degree, I managed a team, ran weekly meetings, planned large-scale student events focused on health and wellness, and worked closely with faculty members. I know what it takes to bring people together, create meaningful experiences, and get things done. What I may lack in official pharmacy leadership roles, I more than make up for in passion and commitment. Over the past two years, I’ve been deeply involved in our pharmacy community -whether at the annual pharmacy gala, booze cruise, or skits night. If my name doesn’t ring a bell, just think back to the person dancing the hardest and laughing the loudest – that’s probably me! I’ve loved celebrating every milestone with you all, and I’m excited to make our final year the best one yet.
