VP Communications Candidate, Miffia Huang
Hey Rockstars!!
My name is Miffia Huang and I’m running to be your next VP communications!
Do you always miss out on events because you don’t know about them? Do you want someone
to respond fast if you have a question about an event? Or do you wish there were more
reminders not just on facebook? I’m here to help with that!
Throughout the past year, I’ve been actively engaged in the community as PY1 rep. As one of
the reps, I was responsible for communicating with my year and keeping them informed of all
the upcoming events. In addition to the weekly calendars, a new initiative that the PY1 reps
started was the PY1 instagram to help promote engagement as not everybody checks facebook
everyday. I actively help run this account by posting about upcoming events and reminders and
responding quickly to any questions.
As VP communications, my goal is to foster communication between the students, PhUS council
and faculty by
- Actively posting on the PhUS instagram, website and Facebook
- Sending out weekly PhUS newsletters
- Updating the PhUS calendar in the PhUS lounge
By actively promoting the PhUS calendar and reminders on various platforms, this will increase
engagement from students and awareness of upcoming events. I’m enthusiastic and friendly so
